About A1 Backhoe
Owners of A-1 Backhoe Inc. are Rick May & Christie Foster-May. Rick worked for A-1 Backhoe for over 25 yrs before purchasing the company in 2019. Rick and Christie have been married for 16 yrs and have 2 children together. Rick is originally from Cleveland, TN but has been in the Statesville/ Union Grove area since he was 14. Christie is from Wilkes County but has been in Union Grove since 2006. Christie is also a registered nurse and continues to work part time as a wound care nurse while helping to run A-1 Backhoe. The family loves to ride side by sides, and four wheelers together in West Virginia. They also spend much of their time when they are not working supporting their children in sports/travel sports such as volleyball and baseball. Rick loves to fish, but his favorite is carp fishing which has been doing for over 8 yrs. God, Family, and work is how they try to live their lives, knowing that none of this would be possible without all three. They take pride in their work, being honest, and doing the job correctly at a competitive, but not ridiculous price and will continue to do so as long as they are in business.
